Bryozoan Diversity Dynamics at the Devonian–Carboniferous Transition: Evidence from Transcaucasia

نویسندگان

چکیده

The Devonian–Carboniferous transition was marked by a series of perturbations in the geological and biological evolution. palaeontological data from Transcaucasia allowed bryozoan diversity dynamics on northern Gondwanan margin (southern periphery Palaeo-Tethys Ocean) to be documented at this transition. Taxonomic ranges 43 species, 26 genera, 19 families, 4 orders were analysed reveal changes total diversity, number appearances, disappearances, turnover rates per substages. It is established that rather high beginning end Famennian, as well Late Tournaisian. declined significantly Middle–Late Famennian Early Tournaisian due combination disappearances low appearances. turnovers remained strong, they peaked mid-Famennian. These regionally match patterns recorded globally Southern Siberia. Hypothetically, crises related global events (anoxia mass extinctions), which weakened bryozoans’ resistivity negative external influences.

Board Diversity and Corporate Social Responsibility: Evidence from Iranian Firms

According to agency theory, board of directors plays an important monitoring role in reducing information asymmetry and increasing the transparency of financial statements and social responsibility. This research is concerned with examining board diversity and social responsibility of the firms listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange during the years 2011-2015. To do so, a sample of 98 firms was se...

Classical bifurcation at the transition from Rabi to Josephson dynamics.

We report on the experimental demonstration of the internal bosonic Josephson effect in a rubidium spinor Bose-Einstein condensate. The measurement of the full time dynamics in phase space allows the characterization of the theoretically predicted π-phase modes and quantitatively confirms analytical predictions, revealing a classical bifurcation. Our results suggest that this system is a model ...

Universal nonstationary dynamics at the depinning transition.

We study the nonstationary dynamics of an elastic interface in a disordered medium at the depinning transition. We compute the two-time response and correlation functions, found to be universal and characterized by two independent critical exponents. We find a good agreement between two-loop functional renormalization group calculations and molecular dynamics simulations for the scaling forms, ...

Evidence from the Transition Economies

Over the past few years, many commentators have suggested that the Internet is one of the forces driving globalization. This paper tries to assess one aspect of these claims, looking at whether Internet access appears to affect the export performance of enterprises in lowand middle-income economies in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. The papers finds that even after controlling for self-selecti...

Information Dynamics at a Phase Transition

We propose a new way of investigating phase transitions in the context of information theory. We use an information-entropic measure of spatial complexity known as configurational entropy (CE) to quantify both the storage and exchange of information in a lattice simulation of a Ginzburg-Landau model with a scalar order parameter coupled to a heat bath. The CE is built from the Fourier spectrum ...
